Two words to make you fall in love with this place: CHEESE BAR. Yes, it’s a cheese bar with a phenomenal Happy Hour in Denver’s LoHi district.

Maroon Bells
Maroon Bells, a pair of twin peaks known for being some of the most photographed mountains in North America. Yet, somehow I’d never heard of them until 2014.
Great Sand Dunes National Park
Dunes in June = hot hot hot. Don’t wear shoes, you’ll regret it. Don’t go shoeless, you’ll regret that too. Sandals FTW.
Aspen Cross Country Center
…because why not try a super taxing sport at altitude that you haven’t done in almost 30 years? Seems like a good idea for a SNOWBOARDER 😬
Doc B’s Restaurant + Bar
Hours to kill between game time and airport time. Where to go? Ask the locals. Bob says go to Doc B’s, so I went to Doc B’s.
Aspen Mountain
On my fourth trip to the summit, I finally made it out to ride Ajax, Aspen’s crown jewel.
Vaquero Coffee Co
Could have easily thrown multiple breakfast tacos down the hatch, but I didn’t. Hazelnut latte was a winner.
Halona Blowhole
In addition to the stunningly blue view, for Christmas, I got my first ever parking ticket from the State of Hawaii. Mele Kalikimaka.
Kona Brewing Company
Prince Ahi Tuna Salad FOR THE WIN. Not a bad way to chill before heading to the airport if hiking isn’t an option.
Royal Hawaiian Mai Tai Bar
Received oodles of recommendations for this place, and none of them disappointed. Get the Mai Tai (or two), if you get more than two you’re to blame for your own hangover.
Koko Crater Trail
Koko Crater. Heard TONS about this hike in Oahu, therefore despite the windy and rainy conditions we have it a go anyway.
Waikiki Beach
Mother Nature is excellent at putting on a tropical show featuring all sorts of solar majesty.
