This excursion was part of one of the most fun spur-of-the-moment trips I’ve ever gone on. I went to Colorado for a week with no real plan past night 1, which is very unlike me. When I scored a last-minute ticket to see the Infamous Stringdusters at the top of Steamboat, I started driving northwest, wondering what I’d do all day, with fingers crossed for bluebird skies. Got them.
The two-hour tour was run by Steamboat Snowmobile Tours. They pick you up from your hotel so you don’t need to worry about icy navigation, the sleds have heated handlebars, and well, it’s Colorado so f*ck yeah the views were going to be amazing. The team also provides helmets/goggles/boots/suits for people who could use an extra layer. Worth every penny. 10/10 would take a motorized gallivant through wonderland again.
