Aspen has been one of my favorite trips of the year since the first time I set foot in Pitkin County. In prior years I’ve always gotten a foot pass and ridden the Silver Queen Gondola and on my fourth trip to the summit, I finally made it out to ride Ajax, Aspen’s crown jewel.

This mountain has no formally ‘easy’ terrain, so it’s taken a ton of confidence building to take it on. Blue bird skies awaited me on the big day, and with a fresh dusting of snow making the summit an absolute wonderland… I had one of the best mornings of my life. 173/10 would ride again.
